BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The top-seeded Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team defeated No. 4 seed Cumberland (Tenn.) 4-0 in the Semifinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament on Saturday at the Warren County Tennis Facility.
With the victory, the Blue Raiders advance to Sunday's championship match at 3 p.m. CT against the winner of No. 2 seed Cumberlands (Ky.) and No. 3 seed Bethel (Tenn.)
Lucas Marques and
Lev Sholosh (No. 18 doubles in NAIA) defeated Mateus Mori and Carlos Morillas 6-0 in the top-seeded singles match. The Blue Raiders earned the doubles point with
Raul Safont and
Aldo Randazzo winning 6-2 over Mohamed Bouhlel and Matheus Guarnieri at No. 3.
Sholosh (No. 8 in the NAIA) increased the Lindsey Wilson lead to 2-0 with a shutout of Guarnieri 6-0, 6-0 in the top-seeded singles match. Safont pushed the Blue Raider advantage to 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 4.
Miguel Mateo Larrea (No. 49) clinched the match for Lindsey Wilson with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3.
First serve for the MSC Championship match is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT on Sunday at the Warren County Tennis Facility.
