Men's Golf Captures Third Straight MSC Tournament Championship

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The No. 15-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's golf team claimed its third consecutive Mid-South Conference Championship on Tuesday at Bowling Green Country Club. 

Following the conclusion of the tournament, the MSC announced the All-Conference teams and individual awards. Philip Kittoff Jr. was named the MSC Men's Golf Freshman of the Year, while Stanley White earned Player of the Year honors. Lindsey Wilson Head Coach Chris Butler was named the MSC Coach of the Year, while Tommy Steele earned Assistant Coach of the Year honors.

Polakrit Pawichai, Callum Waugh, Stanley White, and Toby White earned First Team All-Conference honors. James Gibb and Kittoff Jr. were named to the Second Team.

The Blue Raiders carded a four-over final round (292) at the par-72 6,790-yard course. LWU finished the tournament at 11-over 875 (286-297-292), defeating second-place Bethel (Tenn.) (883) by eight strokes.

Leading the way for the Blue Raiders were Stanley White, Pawichai, and Toby White. All three finished tied for fourth after carding 218.

Stanley White (68-76-74) finished the tournament tied for fourth at 218, carding a 74 in round three. White finished his tournament tied for the most birdies in the field at 12.

Polakrit Pawichai (74-75-69) finished tied for fourth at 218 after carding a 3-under 69 in round three. Pawichai finished with 11 birdies and tied for fourth in par-4 scoring at 3-over. 

Toby White (69-76-73) finished tied for fourth at 218 after carding a 1-over 73 in round three. White finished tied for the most birdies in the field with 12, while also finishing tied for first in par-5 scoring at 7-under.

Callum Waugh (75-70-76) finished tied for 11th at 221 after finishing with a 4-over 76 in round three. Waugh finished with the most pars in the tournament, carding 41. 

James Gibb finished with an 8-over 80 on Tuesday. 

The Blue Raiders now begin preparations for the NAIA National Championship beginning on May 12 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
