Men's Golf Finishes Fourth at NAIA National Championship

SILVIS, Ill. -- The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team finished fourth today at the 74th Annual NAIA Men's Golf National Championship at TPC Deere Run.

The Blue Raiders -- who entered the national tournament ranked No. 14 in the final regular-season poll -- finished the four-day championship with a team total of 1,168 (290-289-293-296). The Blue Raiders and Marian (Ind.) tied for fourth to earn hardware for their championship finish.

Oklahoma City -- who finished runner-up to Lindsey Wilson last season -- won by two strokes with a 1,153 (290-278-292-293). Friends (Kan.) ended in second place at 1,155 (292-284-290-289), while Hastings (Neb.) finished third at 1,165 (288-301-283-293).

The top four teams all receive tournament trophies for their finish.

Lindsey Wilson's Stanley White led the Blue Raiders with a seventh-place finish. He posted a four-round total of 286 (72-71-72-71) to earn all-tournament honors. The top 15 and ties earn all-tournament honors.

Callum Waugh tied for 21st, just missing all-tournament honors by two strokes. Waugh ended the tournament with a 291 (72-70-76-73), including finishing the tournament with back-to-back birdies.
Philip Kittoff Jr. tied for 24th with a 292 (76-71-70-75), while Polakrit Pawichai ended in 53rd at 300 (71-77-75-77). Toby White finished tied for 68th at 306 (75-78-76-77).

Oklahoma City's Christian Yanovitch captured the individual national title with a four-round total of even-par 280 (71-69-70-70). Keiser's (Fla.) Yann Ferrando finished second with a 282 (72-71-68-71).
