Women’s Track & Field Finishes Second at MSC Outdoor Championships; Reid & DeHaven Collect Individual Honors

COLUMBIA, Ky. –  The Lindsey Wilson women's track and field team finished second at the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Monday at Parnell Family Stadium.
 
Following the conclusion of the event, Hannah Reid was named the MSC Women's Athlete of the Year. Reid becomes the sixth player in program history to earn the Athlete of the Year honor and the first since Safia Bright in 2018. Alexia DeHaven earned MSC Assistant Coach of the Year honors for the second time in her career.

 
Reid captured the conference championship in the 400-meter dash, finishing with a B standard time of 55.38. Ta'shya Cramer finished fourth with a time of 58.38.  

 
Reid captured her second conference championship of the day in the 100-meter dash, finishing with a B standard time of 11.67. Elaina Holliday finished fourth with a time of 12.01, while Promise Amasiatu and Jermani Morris finished in sixth and seventh, respectively.

 
Reid won her third championship of the day, finishing first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.92. Morris posted a fifth-place finish with a time of 26.49, while Amasiatu was seventh with a time of 27.16.


Cramer, Holliday, Reid, and Sancia Smith captured the conference championship in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:56.16
 
 
Chenessa Davis captured the conference championship in the 100-meter hurdles earning an A standard and recording a school record with a time of 13.70. Isabel Urrutia Lemus earned All-Conference honors, finishing in third with a time of 14.36. Selena Johnson finished in 14.83 to place fourth.
 
 
Sancia Smith won the conference championship in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:24.37. Davis finished runner-up in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.53. Lemus posted a fourth-place finish with a time of 1:16.32, while Arianna Payne was fifth in 1:18.16.

 
Jermani Morris, Reid, Elaina Holliday, and Davis finished runner-up in the 4x100-meter relay with an NAIA B standard time of 46.83.

 
The Blue Raiders took the top three spots in the triple jump. Rosemond Owusu earned a B standard, taking first with a distance of 11.74 meters. Selena Johnson placed second with a jump of 11.45 meters. Jada McIntyre was third with a distance of 11.21 meters.

 
Owusu captured the conference championship in the high jump with an A standard distance of 1.70 meters. Davis finished fourth with a jump of 1.50 meters, while Destiny Barnes was sixth with a jump of 1.40 meters. Lemus finished in seventh, while Holliday and McIntyre tied for eighth.

 
Reagan Cheatham finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 10.66 meters. Nevaeh Acklin finished fourth in the discus with a throw of 33.21 meters.

 
The Blue Raiders now begin preparations for the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, beginning on May 20 in Asheville, North Carolina.
