COLUMBIA, KY – The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team returns to Biggers Sports Center at 6 p.m. CT on Tuesday, September 22, welcoming Rio Grande (Ohio) for a non-conference matchup. 

The Blue Raiders return home after facing No. 10 Cumberlands (Ky.) on September 15. Lindsey Wilson was led offensively by Luisina Sandrone Tais with 11 kills, while Tully Bew added nine kills. Addison Jones averaged 7.33 assists per set and finished with 22 assists in the match.

Lindsey Wilson also recorded 11 blocks against the Patriots, led by Bew with three. Sofija Pjevic and Gabi Zuquelo each added two blocks, while libero Momo Hampton recorded 13 digs.

Rio Grande brings a 6-14 record into Tuesday's matchup after earning a 3-0 victory at Kentucky Christian in its most recent contest. Averie Bruce leads the RedStorm with 156 kills, followed by Kell Stewart with 147. Lydia Steyer has directed the offense with 485 assists while also contributing 26 kills. At the net, the RedStorm are led by their middle blocker with 49 blocks, followed by Bruce with 47. Nigella Reck anchors the back row with 288 digs, while Stewart has added 167 digs.

Lindsey Wilson is 7-4 all-time against Rio Grande and have won the last seven matchups.The Blue Raiders and the RedStorm last met on October 5, 2024 with Lindsey Wilson winning 3-0. 

Tuesday's matchup gives the Blue Raiders an opportunity to respond at home while extending their seven-match winning streak in the all-time series against Rio Grande.
