COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team scored an NAIA single-game record 28 goals in defeating Pikeville (Ky.) College 28-0 on Tuesday night at Lindsey Wilson Park.
The Blue Raiders broke the two-year-old record set by Webber International (Fla.) University, which was 23 goals against Southeastern (Fla.) University.
In addition to the NAIA record, Lindsey Wilson broke its program record by 10 goals.
Lindsey Wilson also set program records with points (73) and assists (17) in a single game.
Lindsey Wilson improved to 11-3-1 overall and 4-0-0 in the Mid-South Conference. Pikeville, in its inaugural season, fell to 0-7-0 overall and 0-4-0 in conference play.
Four Blue Raiders recorded hat tricks (three goals), and all but two LWC players (16) scored a goal. Junior forward

Anu Eskelinen scored a career-high two goals and contributed a pair of assists in her final game at Lindsey Wilson Park. Tonight's game marked the 86th in Eskelinen's career, third most in the program's history. Eskelinen is five away from breaking the record.
Lindsey Wilson freshman Jodi-Ann McGregor cracked the Blue Raider record books tying the single-game record with four assists on the night. McGregor leads the team with eight assists on the season.
The Blue Raiders, ranked No. 4 in the NAIA, out-shot the Bears 70-0.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, October 22, as the Blue Raiders travel to No. 13 Auburn (Ala.) University-Montgomery.
