LONDON, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team won their opening tournament of the season as the Blue Raiders won the University of the Cumberlands Fall Invitational on Friday at Crooked Creek Golf Club.

Carlos Navarro grabbed medalist honors in his first collegiate tournament with a 1-under par 143 (70-73). Senior
Federico Lizarralde's 148 (74-74) helped lead the Blue Raiders to the win with a tie for second place.
The Blue Raiders shot a one day, 36-hole total of 592 (301-291) over the 6,654-yard, par-72 Crooked Creek course.
In addition to Navarro and Lizarralde, Lindsey Wilson junior Zach Wilson finished tied for seventh following his 150 (78-72). Senior
Tyler Sharpe's 155 (83-72) was good enoungh for 13th place, while junior
Kyle Andreas finished tied for 26th with a 159 (79-80).

Zach Duncan and
Travis Miller competed as individuals for the Blue Raiders. Duncan's 156 (78-78) and Miller's 159 (78-81) earned them a tie for 17th and 26th respectively.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Friday, September 16 as they travel to Owensboro for the Kentucky Wesleyan Fall Invitational held at The Summitt Golf Course.
Lindsey Wilson's schedule match at the Kentucky Invitational Tournament on September 22-23 has been canceled.
