COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The No. 7-ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team scored three unanswered goals to defeat No. 2-ranked Lee (Tenn.) University 4-2 on Tuesday night at Lindsey Wilson Park.

Kristine Pedersen scored her team-leading fifth and sixth goals of the season to help the Blue Raiders to their fifth straight win. Lindsey Wilson improves to 5-1-0 on the season with the win, while Lee falls to 3-1-0 with the loss.
Pedersen scored the game's first goal 3:53 into the game. The Vejle, Denmark, native, scored on a breakaway after a Lee defender tried to pass back to Lady Flame keeper Cair Wohlander. Pedersen touched the loose ball onto her right foot and chipped it over an outstretch Wohlander to give the Blue Raiders the 1-0 lead.
Lee quickly countered after a Lindsey Wilson foul at the 8:03 mark gave junior Janaina Novaes a free kick from 35 yards out. Novaes blasted the ball into the upper left corner pass Lindsey Wilson freshman keeper
Lisbeth Skjodt to tie the score at 1-1.
The game remained tied until the 32nd minute when senior Jodie McGuckin took an errant pass and beat Skjodt in the lower left corner to give the Lady Flames their first lead at 2-1.
Lindsey Wilson trailed 2-1 at the break despite out-shooting Lee 6-4 in the first half.

Jill Lirbank-Almbaek's left boot to the near post, 1:23 into the half, ricocheted off a Lee defender's head and pass Wohlander to tie the game at 2-2.
Lindsey Wilson continued the offensive attack in the 53rd minute when senior Hishamar Flaconer hit a knuckler into the upper left corner from just outside the penalty area to give the Blue Raiders the 3-2 lead.
Less than five minutes later, Pedersen scored a bookend goal from inside the penalty area off junior
Sandra Andersson's assist. The goal gave Lindsey Wilson the 4-2 advantage and eventually the win.
Lindsey Wilson ended the night out-shooting Lee 13-6, including a 12-3 shots on goal advantage.
