Box Score 2 COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team advanced to the Mid-South Conference finals with a 7-0 win today over West Virginia University Tech at Georgetown (Ky.) College Field.
The top-seeded Blue Raiders (13-1-3) opened the scoring in the 13th minute when freshman Satsuki Kato scored off a rebound to give Lindsey Wilson the 1-0 lead. Freshman Katy Gilmour netted the Blue Raiders second goal eight minutes later off one of three assists from sophomore Omolyn Davis.
Sophomore Bryndis Theodorsdottir scored on a header off a Davis corner kick at the 23:27 mark to give Lindsey Wilson a 3-0 lead.
Freshman Kimmia Parker and Kato scored the remaining goals of the half to give Lindsey Wilson a 5-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, Davis and senior Sashsheena Stewart each scored to help the Blue Raiders advance to the MSC finals.
Lindsey Wilson senior Carrie Revlett recorded her 10th shutout of the season as the Blue Raiders out-shot West Virginia Tech (6-11-0) 16-0 for the match.
The Blue Raiders advance to Tuesday's MSC final where they will face the winner of the Georgetown and University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) winner. Kick-off is schedule for 4 p.m. CT at Georgetown College Field.
