Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team easily moved into Tuesday night's NAIA Region XI finals with an 8-0 win over visiting University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) on Monday night at Lindsey Wilson Park.
Lindsey Wilson faces Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College -- who defeated Bethel (Tenn.) College 1-0 in double overtime in the other semifinal -- at 7 p.m. CT on Tuesday night at Lindsey Wilson Park for the regional title.
Tonight, seven different Blue Raiders scored in the 8-0 win.
Freshman midfielder Satsuki Kato scored a pair of goals to lead the Blue Raiders into tomorrow's championship match. Kato netted her first goal in the 37th minute to give Lindsey Wilson the 3-0 lead heading into the break.
She scored again in the 63rd minute to push the lead to four. Kato's goals were her team-leading 14th and 15th of the season.
Freshman midfielder Anne Houilston scored the game's first goal in the third minute off the first of three assists from sophomore midfielder Lorna Heaton. The goal is Houilston's second of the season.
Freshman Kimmia Parker headed in the game's second goal in the 30th minute off a cross from the right flank by Heaton.
Kato's goal sent the game to the break at 3-0.
Sophomore Omlyn Davis helped the Blue Raiders to the 5-0 lead after she collected a rebound in front of the goal and tapped it by Cumberlands keeper Stephanie Reid. Davis was the only non-freshman to score a goal in the match.
Freshmen Katy Gilmour, Matilda Myers and Lynn Dowling-Bradley all scored in the final 10 minutes -- all off sophomore Yolanda Hamilton assists -- to complete the final at 8-0.
Sophomore goalkeeper Carrie Revlett recorded her 12th shutout of the season while collecting one save in the win. Reid allowed all eight goals and collected seven saves.
Lindsey Wilson -- who beat Cumberlands for the third time this season -- out-shot the Patriots 20-3 for the match.
The beginning of the match was delayed 45 minutes due to heavy rains and lightning in the area.
