COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team ended a seven-game losing streak with a 78-71 come-from-behind win over visiting West Virginia Tech on Saturday at Biggers Sports Center.

John Fitzgerald scored a career-high 27 points to lead the Blue Raiders to their first win since Jan. 20.
Also with the win Paul Peck became the winningest coach in LWC men's basketball history with 128 career wins.
West Virginia Tech (10-17, 2-6 in the Mid-South Conference) grabbed a 12-point (29-17) lead at the 2:46 mark of the first half. But the Blue Raiders (17-10, 2-6) scored the final seven points of the half to trail 29-24 at the break.

Lloyd Lewis -- who did not score in the first 20 minutes -- led the charge. Lewis finished with 20 points.
Lewis and Fitzgerald -- who combined for 40 points in the second half -- helped the Blue Raiders methodically build a lead, which reached 10 points (65-55) with 4:20 left.
Tech's Armand Ivory and Brent Butler led the Golden Bears back. The pair combined for four three pointers down the stretch to help the Golden Bears cut the LWC lead to 74-71 with 42 seconds remaining.
Fitzgerald iced the game with four free throws to end the game and LWC's longest losing streak since the 1995-96 season.
The Blue Raiders shot 50 percent (25-of-50) from the field and 47.4 percent (9-for-19) from beyond the three-point arc. Both are season-highs against a conference foe.
Fitzgerald added 13 rebounds and four assists to go along with his 27 points. Labka added 14 points.
Butler led the Golden Bears with 17 points and Ivory chipped in 13.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 8 p.m. CST on Thursday, February 22, as the Blue Raiders host Pikeville (Ky.) College in the final home game of the season at Biggers Sports Center.
