Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team overcame foul trouble to upset No. 17-ranked Georgetown (Ky.) College 67-63 in overtime today at Biggers Sports Center.
Three Lindsey Wilson starters fouled out in a rugged battle of two teams who entered the day tied atop the Mid-South Conference standings.
The Blue Raiders -- who lost starters
Kara Osterfeld in regulation and
Krystal Jackson and
Tiffany Reid in overtime -- had to go deep into their bench, but they never trailed in the overtime. LWC improves to 10-15 overall and 4-1 in the Mid-South Conference.
The Blue Raiders remain in first place in conference play with the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), who defeated Pikeville (Ky.) College today in Williamsburg.
Lindsey Wilson trailed 45-41 with 3:54 left in regulation before scoring on two straight possessions to tie the game at 45-45 with 2:40 remaining.
The Lady Tigers (17-7, 3-2) pushed the lead back to two points on three different occasions in the final two minutes, but each time the Blue Raiders responded to tie the game.

Shola Aladejebi -- who tied game-high honors with 15 points -- scored with 21 seconds left to tie the game at 51-51.
Each team had a possession to end the game in regulation, but neither could score.

Terran Duncan scored 19 seconds into the overtime to give the Blue Raiders a 53-51 lead. Twenty-eight seconds later, Georgetown's Ashley Bell tied for the 16th time with a pair of free throws.
Reid answered with six of the next eight points to give the Blue Raiders the lead for good. Reid matched Aladejebi with 15 points in the game.
The Blue Raiders extended their lead to as many as six points in the overtime, but Georgetown fought back to cut the score to 65-63 with 28 seconds left.
Georgetown's Katie Filiatreau -- who hit a three pointer with just under a minute in the overtime -- missed a three-pointer, which would have given the Lady Tigers the lead with eight seconds left.

Kera Gibson being fouled with a chance to ice the game.
Gibson -- who entered the game 5-for-6 from the free throw line on the season -- made both shots with two seconds left to seal the Blue Raiders' 67-63 win. Gibson -- who was 5-of-6 in the game from the free throw line -- finished with 11 points.
Lindsey Wilson finished the game shooting 44 percent (22-of-50) from the field.
The Blue Raiders held the Lady Tigers to just 36.2 percent (21-of-58) shooting, including 16.7 percent (3-of-18) from beyond the three-point line. Georgetown also committed 22 turnovers, which resulted in 21 Lindsey Wilson points.
Bell led the Lady Tigers with 14 points.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CST on Saturday, February 10, as the Blue Raiders travel to Cumberlands in a battle of first-place MSC teams.
