COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Seven Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer players scored tonight as the Blue Raiders beat Pikeville (Ky.) College 15-0 in the Mid-South Conference opener at Lindsey Wilson Park.
Lindsey Wilson freshman forward Jakob Rittig scored four goals and senior midfielder Adam Howard added three to help the Blue Raiders improve to 6-1 on the season and 1-0 in the MSC.
Freshman reserve Frederick Were recorded scored a career-high three goals, while senior midfielder Tiyiselani Shipalane added two goals and two assists to the Blue Raider cause.
Junior goalkeeper Glen Fox recorded his fourth shutout of the season.
Three Pikeville goalkeepers allowed 15 goals and combined for 13 saves.
The Bears fall to 0-5 on the season and 0-1 in the MSC.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, September 21 as the Blue Raiders travel to Lee (Tenn.) University in Cleveland, Tenn.
