Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. - The No. 1-ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team used five second half goals to cruise to a 6-0 win tonight over Covenant (Ga.) College at Lindsey Wilson Park.
The first goal of the night came off the head of sophomore midfielder Satsuki Kato in the eighth minute. Kato was set up beautifully on the cross by junior defender Bryndis Theodorsdottir.
The game remained 1-0 at half.
Lindsey Wilson took control in the second half recording 13 shots and scoring five goals.
Sophomore forward Kimmia Parker netted a pair of goals at the 78th and 82nd minute marks. Parker now has 18 goals on the season and 33 goals in her career. The two goals tonight moved her into sole possession of 10th place on the all-time goals scored list.
Kato added her second goal of the game in the 87th minute to give Lindsey Wilson the 6-0 advantage. Kato is second on the team in goals scored with 13, trailing only Parker.
The Blue Raiders are now 13-1 on the season.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 5 p.m. CT on Weds. Oct. 29 as the Blue Raiders host Georgetown (Ky.) College.
