Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. - The No. 1-ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team shutout Georgetown (Ky.) College 6-0 tonight at Lindsey Wilson Park.
The Blue Raiders controlled the game from the opening minutes scoring early and often.
Sophomore midfielder Satsuki Kato scored the first Blue Raider goal in the seventh minute as she accepted a crossing pass from junior defender Yolanda Hamilton and put it in the back of the net. The goal was Kato's 12th, good for second on the team.
Lindsey Wilson freshman midfielder Elisha Fry continued the scoring brigade. Fry scored two goals in two minutes to put the Blue Raiders up 3-0 going into the half. Fry now has five goals on the season.
In the 48th minute sophomore forward Kimmia Parker recorded her 19th goal. Parker has now scored 11 goals in her last five games and is the reigning Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
The Blue Raiders added two more goals for the 6-0 shutout. Lindsey Wilson now stands at 13-1 overall and 5-0 in the MSC.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 1 as the Blue Raiders host Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.) in its home finale at *Walter S. Rueling Stadium.
*In between the women's and men's soccer games tonight Lindsey Wilson Park was re-named Walter S. Rueling Stadium in honor of the school's seventh president.
