Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. - Nine different Blue Raiders scored en route to an 11-0 shutout over Campbellsville (Ky.) University to claim the Mid-South Conference championship tonight at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
The MSC Championship is Lindsey Wilson's seventh consecutive title.
No. 1-ranked Lindsey Wilson (17-1) attacked from the kickoff rarely allowing Campbellsville to cross mid-field. The relentless pressure led to 36 total shots and 11 goals.
Sophomore midfielder Satsuki Kato was the only Blue Raider to score twice recording her 16th and 17th goals of the season in the first 27 minutes. The second goal gave Lindsey Wilson a 4-0 lead. Kato is third on the team with 45 points.
In a three minute span the Blue Raiders scored two goals. Sophomore midfielder Anne Houliston and freshman forward Louise Christensen were both set up by freshman midfielder Ida Gregersen giving Lindsey Wilson a 6-0 lead going into the second half.
The Blue Raiders continued their dominance in the second half. Lindsey Wilson scored five goals and recorded 18 shots.
Sophomore midfielder Kimmia Parker scored her team leading 23rd goal in the 58th minute. Parker also leads the team in points with 52.
Freshman defender Carolina Pelaio (69:47) and sophomore defender Matilda Myers (81:12) both recorded their second goals of the season stretching the lead to 9-0.
In the 88th minute freshman midfielder Diana DaRocha was set up beautifully by freshman forward Jennifer Tom and scored her first goal of the season.
Freshman midfielder Elisha Fry netted the 11th and final goal of the night in the 89th minute.
Junior goalkeeper Carrie Revlett made one save and recorded her 12th shutout of the season.
With the win Lindsey Wilson clinches a berth for the NAIA National Tournament. The Blue Raiders will wait for the final NAIA National Coaches Poll to be released on Sunday to see their seeding for the tournament.
