Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team shutout Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.) 5-0 tonight at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
The No. 1-ranked Blue Raiders got off to a slow start and the game remained tied 0-0 into half.
Lindsey Wilson then caught fire and scored three goals in two minutes and three seconds to open the second half.
Freshman midfielder Rikke Bottcher scored Lindsey Wilson's first goal in the 51st minute. Bottcher was set up beautifully by sophomore midfielder Satsuki Kato.
Less than two minutes later sophomore midfielder Kimmia Parker accepted a pass from Kato and scored her team leading 20th goal of the season. The assist was Kato's second of the game.
In the 53rd minute junior defender Yolanda Hamilton completed the scoring surge by blasting one into the bottom right corner giving Lindsey Wilson a 3-0 lead.
Parker tacked on her second goal of the night in the 71st minute and sophomore defender Shereen Clarke scored the fifth and final goal for the Blue Raiders.
Junior goalkeeper Carrie Revlett recorded her fourth straight shutout. Revlett made three saves in the game.
Lindsey Wilson now stands at 15-1 on the season.
The Blue Raiders close out their regular season at 12 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Nov. 4 as they travel to St. Catharine (Ky.) College.
