DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team advanced into the NAIA National Tournament quarterfinals in dominating fashion with a 3-0 win today over McKendree (Ill.) University at the Embry-Riddle Soccer Field.

The Blue Raiders advance to the national quarterfinals at 3:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Dec. 3 against the winner of Tuesday's game between No. 8-seed Graceland (Iowa) University and No. 9-seed Northwood (Fla.) University.

Top-seeded Lindsey Wilson (20-1) out-shot the No. 16-seeded Bearcats 13-0 for the game as the Blue Raiders kept possession for much of the match.

Lindsey Wilson freshman forward Louise Christensen scored the game's first goal in the 26th minute to give the Blue Raiders the 1-0 lead.

Junior defender Yolanda Hamilton dribbled the ball deep into the penalty area, drawing the McKendree defense. Hamilton tapped the ball to Christensen as the defense collapsed and she hammered the ball into the back of the net for her 17th goal of the season.

Junior midfielder Anne Houliston and Bryndis Theodorsdottir combined for the Blue Raiders' second goal of the game in the 40th minute.

Theodorsdottir served a ball into the penalty area from the right flank onto Houliston's head for the 2-0 lead. The goal was Houliston's 10th of the season, giving the Blue Raiders four players with at least 10 goals on the year.

Sophomore forward Kimmia Parker concluded the scoring with a breakaway goal in the 90th minute to give the Blue Raiders the 3-0 win.

McKendree ends its season 19-2-1.
