DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Lindsey Wilson College sophomore forward Kimmia Parker's penalty kick goal in the 78th minute proved to be the game winner as the Blue Raiders defeated Graceland (Iowa) University 1-0 today in the NAIA National Tournament at Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium.

The top-seeded Blue Raiders face No. 5-seed Concordia (Ore.) University at 4 p.m. CT on Friday, Dec. 5 in the first national semifinal. Concordia upset No. 4-seed Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University 2-1 in overtime in another quarterfinal match earlier today.

Lindsey Wilson (21-1) finished the match out-shooting the Yellowjackets 8-4 but it was Parker's PK that proved to be the decisive goal.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore reserve Shereen Clarke was tackled deep inside the penalty area resulting in the penalty kick. Parker calmly drove the ball into the lower left corner of the goal as Graceland goalkeeper Leslie Danner plunged the opposite direction giving the Blue Raiders the 1-0 lead.

Lindsey Wilson junior goalkeeper Carrie Revlett extended her scoreless streak to 916 minutes with her 14th shutout of the season. The Shelbyville, Ky., native, finished the game with a pair of saves to secure the shutout.

The Blue Raiders have not allowed a goal since Armstrong Atlantic (Ga.) University scored in the 74th minute of Lindsey Wilson's 4-1 win on Oct. 15. The shutout streak is 10 matches. The Blue Raiders have out-scored their opponents 56-0 during the streak.

Graceland (19-1-2) challenged Revlett in the first half. In the 34th minute, Graceland's Shay Eskridge appeared to heading for the game's first score. Revlett's last-second diving save sent the ball back to its origin and kept the game scoreless.

The Blue Raiders controlled much of the second half as the Yellowjackets never really threatened Revlett.

The win extends the Lindsey Wilson winning streak to 16 games and deals the Yellow Jackets their first loss of the season.
