Box Score

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team used its most complete offensive half of the season to score six times en route to a 6-1 win over Robert Morris (Ill.) College on Saturday night at Lindsey Wilson Park

After a lethargic first half in which the No. 4-ranked Blue Raiders (5-0-0) were held scoreless for the first time in a half the season, Lindsey Wilson dominated play after the break conclude the sweep of the two-day KELME Classic.

Sophomore midfielder Anne Houliston led the second half charge with a pair of goals.

Houliston headed in the first goal of the night on a cross from freshman forward Louise Christensen in the 47th minute to give the Blue Raiders the 1-0 lead. Christensen scored a goal of her own five minutes later off junior midfielder Lorna Heaton's first assist of the season to extend the lead to 2-0.

The scoring brigade continued as sophomore midfielder Satsuki Kato scored in the 56th minute, her second goal in as many nights. Sophomore midfielder Caitlin Burke joined the scoring 10 minutes later on an unassisted goal to give the Blue Raiders a 4-0 lead.

Sophomore forward Katy Gilmour extended the Blue Raider lead to 5-0 at the 76:35 mark for her second goal of the season.

Robert Morris cut the Lindsey Wilson lead to 5-1 on a goal by senior forward Maria Shipe in the 79th minute. But that was as close as Robert Morris would get.

Earlier in the night, Saint Xavier (Ill.) University's Larissa Jondle scored in the first overtime to help the Cougars to the 1-0 win over Georgetown (Ky.) College in the first game of the classic.
