Box Score MARION, Ind. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team beat host Indiana Wesleyan University 4-1 on Monday night in a battle of ranked teams.
Lindsey Wilson sophomore midfielder Kimmia Parker scored a pair of goals and added an assist as the No. 4-ranked Blue Raiders improve to 2-0-0 on the season.
Parker scored in the ninth minute and assisted on freshman midfielder Rikke Bottcher's goal in the 15th minute to give Lindsey Wilson an early 2-0 lead.
Sophomore midfielder Anne Houliston added a third first-half goal in the 28th minute to give the Blue Raiders the 3-0 lead.
Indiana Wesleyan's Megan Marshall cut the Lindsey Wilson lead to 3-1 on a penalty kick goal in the 33rd minute. Lindsey Wilson took the 3-1 lead into halftime.
Parker concluded the scoring in the 59th minute off of a Bottcher assist to give the Blue Raiders the 4-1 lead and eventually the win.
Lindsey Wilson out-shot the Wildcats (2-1-0) 13-3 on the night.
The Blue Raiders return to action at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, Sept. 5, as Lindsey Wilson hosts Trinity International (Ill.) University at Lindsey Wilson Park.
