BEREA, Ky. -- Junior forward Viktoria Krell posted a double-double with a team-high 24 points and 14 rebounds to lead the 17th ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team past Mid-Continent (Ky.) University 74-64 on Friday in the Berea College Classic.

Two other Blue Raiders joined Krell in double figures as junior Bethany Spillman scored 12 points and senior Sierra Rambert added 11. Spillman also hauled in eight rebounds and blocked a shot against the Cougars.

Lindsey Wilson (4-0) led by 17 points (38-21) at halftime, but was outscored 43-36 in the second half as Mid-Continent (0-6) attempted a comeback.

The Blue Raiders' 51-38 rebound advantage played a big role in securing the win as the Cougars outshot Lindsey Wilson 48.2 percent to 34.2. The Blue Raiders shot just 6-of-26 from behind the arc for a 23.1 percentage.

The Lindsey Wilson defense forced the Cougars into 29 turnovers, while the Blue Raiders committed just 18.

Alisha Herndon and Tiffany Payton led Mid-Continent with 24 and 18 points, respectively.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 21 against Berea (Ky.) College on the final day of the Berea College Classic.
