ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer team dropped its first match of the season on Monday with a 3-0 loss to Park (Mo.) University.
Despite out-shooting the Pirates (2-0) 14-11 for the match, Lindsey Wilson could not find the back of the net. Park goalkeeper Michael Eade stopped the six Blue Raider shots on target to shutout Lindsey Wilson for the first time this season.
Park's Matthew Ashman scored the game's first goal in the 10th minute to give the Pirates a 1-0 lead. Jair Gooden scored the next two goals in the 12th minute and 58th minute to give Park the 3-0 win.
The Blue Raiders return to action at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 12 as they host Roberts Wesleyan College at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
