The Blue Raiders finished the game shooting 46.2 percent (6-of-13) from the 3-point line, including a 5-for-7 mark in the first half. Lindsey Wilson (12-7, 2-3 MSC) shot 50.0 percent from the field for the game, including a 66.7 percent performance in the first half.
Sabrina Manning - who scored a career high with 11 points - got the strong shooting night started with two straight baskets from behind the arc to open the game. Lindsey Wilson hit its first five shots before a miss, putting the Golden Bears behind in the game for good.
Kerin Roche and Amber Tully paced the Golden Bears with 12 points each. Tully scored all of her points from behind the arc, hitting 4-of-6 attempts.
What started as a game of strong shooting quickly turned sloppy and choppy for both teams as they combined for 38 turnovers and 41 free throws. West Virginia Tech have the ball away 21 times, while the Blue Raiders committed 17 giveaways.
Lindsey Wilson held the slight advantage on the glass with 34 rebounds compared to 32 for West Virginia Tech (9-11, 0-5 MSC).
The Golden Bears finished the game shooting 41.2 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from behind the arc.
