Box Score MONTGOMERY, W. Va. -- After building a 7-0 lead at halftime and finishing the game with 20 players making in on the field, the ninth ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team completed a 9-0 shutout win at the West Virginia Institute of Technology on Friday.
Five different Blue Raiders scored goals, while Ida Gregersen and Saki Kataoka led with way with two scores each. Other Lindsey Wilson goal scorers were Saeda Sueki, Elisha Fry and Katy Gilmour.
Lindsey Wilson (7-4, 4-0 MSC) outshot the Golden Bears 23-2 as Blue Raider keeper Reiko Yoshida made a save on both attempts. Golden Bear (2-8, 1-3 MSC) keeper Breanna Gonse was credited with seven saves while allowing all nine goals against.
Yoshida split equal time in goal with Jordan Morrison who wasn't forced to make save the entire time she was in the game.
Lindsey Wilson came up with five assists on the nine goals with Gregersen adding two assists to her two goals scored.
The Blue Raiders return to action at Noon CT on Saturday, Oct. 2 at Shawnee State (Ohio) University.
