COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Seven different Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer players found the back of the net in the Blue Raiders' 9-0 rout of St. Catharine (Ky.) College on Monday at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
Moses Aduny and Lwandiso Gonya led the way with two goals each -- both of Aduny's coming in the first half and both of Gonya's coming in the second.
The Blue Raiders limited the Patriots to just two shots, while they took 25 in the shutout win. Lindsey Wilson (12-2-1, 6-1-0 MSC) also led in corner kicks 11-3.
Pedro Caetano played 50 minutes in goal and Greg Hartley played 40 as Hartley was forced to make the lone Lindsey Wilson save in the second half.
St. Catharine (6-10-1, 2-5-0 MSC) keepers Adam Gilchrist and William Johnston split time in goal with Gilchrist making five saves with four goals against and Johnston making five saves with five goals against.
Aduny is credited with the game-winning goal with his fifth minute unassisted strike which led to a Chris Williams goal in the seventh minute off a cross deep inside the box from Michael Azira.
Gonya capped off the Blue Raider scoring with back-to-back goals to close the game in the 84th and 88th minutes.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, Oct. 29 against Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
