LONDON, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team finished its spring season opener with a tie for sixth place at the Southeastern Kentucky Intercollegiate hosted by the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) at Crooked Creek Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders finished second in the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament ran concurrently for teams from the MSC.
Lindsey Wilson shot a second round team total of 325 to conclude the tournament with a two-day total of 632 (307-325).
Sophomore Trey Wilkerson led the Blue Raiders with a 155 (76-79) to finish tied for 14th in the 107-man field. Junior Joe Hood finished one stroke back of Wilkerson with a 156 (75-81). Hood finished tied for 18th.
Sophomore Nicolas Navarro's 160 (77-83) and freshman Antonio Arriola's 161 (79-82) was good enough to tie for 31st and 36th respectively. Sophomore Levi Gordon rounded out the five-man Lindsey Wilson team with a 166 (79-87). Gordon tied for 60th.
Freshmen Chaz Giles and Daron Morris competed as individuals in the tournament. Giles tied for 36th with a 161 (81-80) while Morris tied for 51st with a 165 (82-83).
Host Cumberlands won the tournament with a two-day total of 601 (299-302). Indiana Wesleyan University finished second with a 607 (295-312).
Cumberlands' Pierre Carlsson won the tournament with a 144 (71-73).
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 5-6 as the Blue Raiders travel to the Georgetown (Ky.) College Spring Invite at Cherry Blossom Golf Club.
