MARION, Ind. -- The fourth-ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team lost a top-10 battle tonight falling 3-1 to No. 10-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University at Wildcat Field.

Despite out-shooting the host Wildcats 13-6 for the match -- including 11-2 in the second half -- the Blue Raiders were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Lindsey Wilson falls to 2-1 on the season with the loss.

Lindsey Wilson junior Elisha Fry gave the Blue Raiders (2-1) the early 1-0 lead with a goal deep inside the penalty area in the 13th minute. Fry's goal -- her third of the season -- came off junior Ida Gregersen's assist from a corner kick.

Indiana Wesleyan's Megan Marshall tied the game at 1-1 in the 31st minute on an unassisted goal. A little more than two minutes later, Brittany Smith gave the Wildcats (2-0) the lead for good on an unassisted goal of her own.

Marshall and Smith connected on the team's third goal in the 69th minute to give the Wildcats a 3-1 lead and eventually the win. Smith fed Marshall near the LWC goal and Marshall beat Lindsey Wilson goalkeeper Jordan Morrison for her second goal of the night. Morrison completed the game allowing three goals while stopping one IWU shot.

Indiana Wesleyan goalkeeper Beth Anne Nowak allowed one goal and collected four saves in the win.
