RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team cruised into the Mid-South Conference Tournament finals with a 7-0 win over University of the Cumberlands in today's semifinal match at University of Rio Grande.

The top-seeded Blue Raiders (16-0-2) face No. 2-seed Georgetown (Ky.) College at 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, Nov. 10 in the championship match. Georgetown defeated third-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) University 2-0 in today's other semifinal.

Lindsey Wilson junior Saeda Sueki and freshman Katarina Simic each scored two goals and senior Ida Gregersen scored a goal and recorded two assists in the Blue Raiders' 7-0 win.

Lindsey Wilson controlled the play for the majority of the game -- out-shooting the Patriots 22-5 for the match.

Gregersen put the Blue Raiders on the scoreboard with her eighth goal of the season of junior Mia Persson's assist at the 9:19 mark. Persson's assist was the first of two for the MSC Player of the Year.

Simic scored off a Gregersen assist in the 14th minute and junior Patricia Nielsen netted her sixth goal of the season off Persson's 12th assist of the season in the 29th minute to give the Blue Raiders a 3-0 lead at the half.

Senior defender Heini Metsola got into the scoring column at the 58:01 mark. Metsola collected a ball deep inside the box after the ball ping-ponged around following a corner kick. The goal is Metsola's first of the season.

Sueki concluded the Blue Raider scoring in the 62nd and 66th minutes with her third and fourth goals of the season.

With the loss, Cumberlands ends its season with an 8-11 record.

Lindsey Wilson freshman goalkeeper Ester Dam Simonsen picked up her second straight shutout win stopping all three Cumberlands' shots she faced. Cumberlands' goalkeeper Brittney Gadd allowed all seven goals while collecting 10 saves.

Lindsey Wilson and Georgetown meet for the third straight time in the MSC Tournament finals. The Blue Raiders won last season 3-0. In 2009, the two teams played to a 2-2 draw with Lindsey Wilson advancing to the national tournament 5-4 in penalty kicks.
