PRESTONSBURG, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team held its position on Tuesday to finish runner-up at the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament at StoneCrest Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders completed the two-day event with a team-total of 631 (314-317) to finish 36 strokes behind winner University of the Cumberlands (Ky.). The Patriots finished with a total of 595 (294-301) to win the spring event and wrap up the MSC regular season title.
A pair of Blue Raiders earned top-five finishes, led by senior Joe Hood's fourth place finish. Hood shot a two-day total of 155 (78-77) to finish 12 strokes behind medalist Fredrik Lindblom of Cumberlands.
Lindsey Wilson sophomore Antonio Arriola finished one stroke behind Hood with a two-day total of 156 (77-79) to end a tie for fifth. Sophomore Daron Morris finished in the top-10 for the third time this season following his 159 (80-79). Morris finished ninth overall in the 53-man tournament.
Junior Chris Lewis ended in a tie for 12th with a 161 (79-82) and junior Nicolas Navarro finished in 18th place with a 163 (80-83). Sophomore Ryne Burnett -- playing as an individual -- completed the tournament in a tie for 26th with a 168 (86-82).
Georgetown (Ky.) College finished third overall with a team-total of 641 (324-317) and Campbellsville (Ky.) University ended in fourth following a 647 (326-321) in the nine-team tournament.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 18-19 as the Georgetown Spring Invite at Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown.
