BARDSTOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer team won its Mid-South Conference opener 6-0 tonight over host St. Catharine College at Nelson County High School Soccer Field.
Lindsey Wilson junior Eddy Campbell and freshman Philip Sandergren each scored twice to lift the No. 4-ranked Blue Raiders to their third straight win to open the season. Junior Lebogang Moloto added three assists in the win.
Freshman goalkeeper Yuta Nomura -- the reigning MSC Defensive Player of the Week -- extended his scoreless streak to 270 minutes with his third consecutive shutout.
With its loss, St. Catharine falls to 0-3-1 overall and 0-1 in the MSC.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 17, as the Blue Raiders travel to No. 25-ranked Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.).
