BEREA, Ky. -- Sharon Ronoh won today and the Lindsey Wilson College women's cross country team finished sixth at the Southeastern Classic hosted by Berea (Ky.) College.
Ronoh -- the reigning NAIA and Mid-South Conference Women's Runner of the Week -- captured her fifth individual title of the season with Saturday's win.
She broke the tape in 17 minutes and 26.24 seconds to win by more than a minute on the 5,000-meter course. University of the Cumberlands' (Ky.) Darcy Mascotti finished second with a time of 18:36.
Lindsey Wilson's Sophie Tonneau ended the race in 13th with a time of 19:52 as the second fastest Blue Raider on the day. Maria Sanchez's 20:53 was good enough for 32nd in the 97-woman field.
The Blue Raiders scored 134 team points. Centre (Ky.) College won the team title with 48 points.
Today's race concludes the Lindsey Wilson's regular season.
The Blue Raiders return to action at the Mid-South Conference Championships on Saturday, Nov. 3 in Rio Grande, Ohio.
