MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer team overcame a one-goal deficit today to claim a 2-1 win over No. 16-seed Concordia (Ore.) in the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championships' second round at the Emory Folmar YMCA Soccer Complex.

The top-seeded Blue Raiders (21-1) advance to Wednesday's quarterfinals where they will meet the winner of Tuesday's second round match featuring eighth-seeded Southern Polytechnic State (Ga.) and Hastings (Neb.).

Concordia (16-4-2) showed no signs of being intimidated by the defending national champions in the early stages of the match. The Cavaliers recorded three shots before the Blue Raiders managed their first to seize the early momentum.

One of the early Concordia shots found the back of the net as Michael Chamberlain scored in the 11th minute off Sam Carmichael's assist to give the Cavaliers the 1-0 lead.

With the lead, Concordia continued to dictate play. Over the next 13 minutes, the Cavaliers recorded a pair of corner kicks and posted three more shots -- one on target.

Lindsey Wilson goalkeeper Yuta Nomura turned away the shot -- one of three saves in the match -- to keep the Blue Raiders within one goal.

Lindsey Wilson's Lebogang Moloto -- last season's tournament Most Valuable Player -- headed in the equalizer in the half's final minute off an Eddy Campbell assist to send the two teams into the break tied at 1-1. Moloto's goal is his 13th of the season.

The Cavaliers ended the half out-shooting the Blue Raiders 7-5.

The second frame would be a different story.

The Blue Raiders wasted little time in the second half taking its first lead of the match with a goal in the 52nd minute.

Albert Edwards created the Lindsey Wilson chance as he battled through a pair of Concordia defenders down the left flank and served the ball inside the six to Campbell. Campbell matched Moloto with his 13th goal of the season as he kicked the ball past Concordia keeper Scott Gross for the 2-1 lead.

Concordia would challenge Nomra twice more in an 11-second span in the 76th minute only to be denied each time.

The come-from-behind win is the fourth for the Blue Raiders this season and their eighth one-goal win of the season.

Lindsey Wilson finished the match out-shooting the Cavaliers 16-12 after holding an 11-5 advantage after the break.

Gross finished with eight saves in the match compared to Nomura's three.

The Blue Raiders return to action at 4 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Nov. 28 against the Southern Poly-Hastings winner in Montgomery.
