Madjarac, Women's Soccer Push Past Georgetown 4-1

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Elizabet Madjarac scored two goals as No. 1-seed Lindsey Wilson College beat No. 4-seed Georgetown (Ky.) College 4-1 in the Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer Championship on Wednesday at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

Madjarac tallied her goals in the third and 40th minutes, while Emilia Jonsson added another in the 17th and Persson finished Lindsey Wilson's only second-half score in the 78th minute.

Georgetown (10-8) got on the scoreboard once in the second half as Sarah Hencke broke free from a crowd in the 56th minute to cross a goal past diving Blue Raider goalkeeper Josephine Frigge.

Ayaki Shinada, Natasha Gensetter, Persson andMadjarac all finished with an assist for the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson outshot the Tigers 17-3, including an 8-1 advantage in shots on goal. Madjarac led the way with a game-high three attempts on frame.

With the win, Lindsey Wilson (17-3-1) advances to Thursday's MSC Championship game, facing either No. 2-seed Cumberland (Tenn.) or No. 3-seed Campbellsville (Ky.). at 5 p.m. CT in Columbia.
