PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- A pair of Lindsey Wilson College women's cross country runners earned top-3 finishes today at the Shawnee State University Invitational.
Lindsey Wilson senior Sharon Ronoh captured the individual title and freshman Sophie Tonneau finished in third to help the Blue Raiders finish second as a team in the three-team meet.
Lindsey Wilson finished with a team-total of 48 points to finish behind host Shawnee State (24 points) and in front of Campbellsville University (65).
Ronoh completed the 5,000-meter course with a time of 18 minutes flat to earn the win by more than 90 seconds over her nearest competitor.
Tonneau ended with a time of 19:53 -- 22 seconds behind second-place Kasey Hosier from Shawnee State.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Friday, Sept.7 at the Queen City Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio.
