LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sharon Ronoh captured the individual title in the women's Blue division, while the Lindsey Wilson College women's cross country team finished 36th in the silver race on Saturday at the Greater Louisville Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
Ronoh competed as an individual in the blue race to compete against a field primarily made up of NCAA Div. I teams. Her winning time on the 5,000-kilometer course came in 17 minutes and 27.36 seconds.
As a team the Blue Raiders tallied 919 points to finish 36th in the silver race. Amanda Bland was the team's top finisher, taking 156th place in the 339-harrier field. Bland crossed the finish line with a time of 21:48.02.
Behind Bland was Jourdann Green in 209th place with a time of 22:33.34, while Katarina Gimborys took 221st place with a showing of 22:44.28.
West Virginia Wesleyan won the women's silver division with 73 points, while Shorter (Ga.) took second and Tennessee Tech finished third.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 3:30 p.m. CT on Oct. 12 at the Wilmington Invitational in Wilmington, Ohio.
