WALESKA, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team took third place at the Reinhardt University Invitational at Callahan Golf Links.
The Blue Raiders shot a team score of 597 (290-307) to finish 23 strokes behind Invitational champion University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) who shot a 574 (285-289). Host Reinhardt University (Ga.) finished in second place with a team score of 585 (296-289).
Franck Medale finished the individual tournament in fifth place after shooting a team-high 2-under par 70 in round two. Medale shot a 2-over par 146 to finish eight strokes behind champion Brandon Price of Cumberlands (Ky.) who finished the classic with a 6-under par 138 after shooting a tournament best 5-under par 67 in round two.
Chris Butler shot a 3-under par 69 in round one but struggled on day two shooting a 8-over par 80 to finish tied for 10th.
Zach Madewell finished in the top-20, sitting tied for 18th with a 9-over par 153 after shooting a 4-over par 76 in round two.
Federico Navarro shot a 10-over par 154 to finish in a tie for 24th place while Nate Hincks tied for 34th place with a score of 16-over par 160 after shooting even par in round one.
Lindsey Wilson next match will be in the spring when Mid-South Conference action starts.
