Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

BLUEFIELD, Ky. -- For a second straight day, the Lindsey Wilson College softball team was dominant in a sweep of a Mid-South Conference foe.

The No. 11-ranked Blue Raiders (18-2, 4-0 in the Mid-South) scored 23 runs and pounded out 22 hits in a sweep of host Bluefield (Va.). While the offense was clicking for Lindsey Wilson, Casey Bryan and Jordan Hood each posted complete-game wins.

Abbi Goedde homered and drove in five runs to lead the Blue Raider offense in a 14-0, five-inning win over the Rams (1-19, 0-10) in the opener.

Goedde opened the big offensive day with a grand slam in the first inning as the Blue Raiders quickly seized the 4-0 lead.

Lindsey Wilson added runs in third and fourth before exploding for eight runs in the fifth in the run-ruled win.

Andrea Whelan, Kristina Krupinski and Travatia Bowden each drove in two runs in the win.

Bryan (8-0) was outstanding in the circle with a three-hit shutout. She struck out six while issuing just one walk en route to her team-leading eighth win of the season.

In game two, Lindsey Wilson used small ball instead of the big innings in a 9-1 win. The Blue Raiders scored in all but one inning with their biggest inning coming in a three-run fourth.

Krupinski was the offensive star of the second game going 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs. Goedde added her second home run of the day in the win.

Hood improved to 6-1 on the season while allowing a seventh-inning solo home run and just two hits total in the complete-game win. Hood -- who leads the team with 51 strikeouts this season -- struck out seven while allowing just one walk.

Bluefield's Aline Uehara prevented the shutout with the homer giving the Rams their lone run of the day.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Tuesday, March 18, in the first of two against Cumberland (Tenn.) at the Cumberland University Softball Field in Lebanon, Tenn.
