Men's Golf takes second at University of the Cumberlands' SEKI Tournament

LONDON, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team hit a 307 in the final round of the Southeastern Kentucky Intercollegiate Tournament, hosted by the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), to earn second place.

The Blue Raiders opened the tournament with a 307 opening round and a 303 second round to begin day one at Crooked Creek Golf Club. They entered day two tied for second place with Union (Ky.) College.

Franck Medale tied for third place at five-over par 221 after he closed with a 74 in round three. Jonathon Grabara was close behind, recording a 77 to finish tied for seventh at 11-over par 227.

In the individual competition, Federico Navarro took 13th overall as he hit a 78. The freshman finished with a combined 13-over par 229 total.

Nathan Hincks and Chris Butler each put up 78s to finish tied for 20th at 20-over par 236, while Alex Durham tied for 28th place at 25-over par 241 after recording an 81.

Cumberlands won the tournament with a three-round total of 893. Milligan (Tenn.) College and Union rounded out the top finishers tying for third place at 926.

Lindsey Wilson continues its spring season as it hosts the Blue Raider Classic March 31-April 1 in Jamestown, Ky.
