No. 6 Women's Soccer dominates Shawnee State 10-0 Tuesday night

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The sixth-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team defeated Shawnee State (Ohio) 10-0 on Tuesday night at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

The Blue Raiders (4-1-2, 1-0 MSC) scored six goals in the first half, including four in the first 15 minutes of the game.

Bettina Brulhart, Lyana Perez and Amanda Kander each recorded a hat-trick in the win.

Brulhart started the scoring barrage in the fourth minute off an assist from Karin Bernet. Kander got on the scoreboard one minute later with an assist from Ayaki Shinada, adding a second goal in the 13th minute. Brulhart would score two more goals in the 14th minute and 41st minute to complete her first-half hat trick.

Shinada recorded a goal of her own, her first of the season, in the 44th minute after receiving a ball from Carola Schneider to give the Blue Raiders a 6-0 lead at halftime.

Shortly after the break, Perez scored back-to-back goals in the 49th and 54th minutes, the second assisted by Elizabet Madjarac.

Kander would complete her hat trick in the 78th minute with an assist from Gloria Hensley.

The final goal of the night came shortly after Kander's third when Perez completed her second-half hat trick in the 79th minute on an unassisted goal.

In goal, Johanna Henriksson and Megan Rauch combined for the shutout victory making three saves total for the Blue Raiders.

Lindsey Wilson had 26 total shots for the game, while Shawnee State totaled just three. The Blue Raiders also had 11 corner kicks compared to one for the Bears.

A trio of Shawnee State (3-4-0, 1-2) goalkeepers combined for eight saves while allowing the 10 goals.

Lindsey Wilson held a 26-3 shot advantage and an 11-1 corner kick ratio.

The Blue Raiders have a quick turnaround as they host No. 3 William Carey (Miss.) on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. CT at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
