COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson senior D'on Hall scored a season-high 20 points to lead the men's basketball team to a 76-60 win over visiting Cumberland (Tenn.) on Thursday night at Biggers Sports Center.

The Blue Raiders (11-10, 2-6 Mid-South Conference) led for the duration of the game to send the Bulldogs (6-14, 2-6 MSC) to their four-straight loss.

Lindsey Wilson scored the first five points of the night and led by as many as seven at the 18-11 in the first half. Back-to-back buckets by the Bulldogs cut the lead to 18-15 at the 7:41 mark.

It would be as close as Cumberland got to the Blue Raiders as Lindsey Wilson proceeded to go on a 16-4 run and built a 17-point edge with roughly 1:30 until halftime.

During this spurt, five Lindsey Wilson players scored points as the Blue Raiders converted six-of-seven field-goal attempts and three-of-four free-throw shots. Tony Horne contributed a half-dozen of those points, including the final four to push Lindsey Wilson to a 34-17 edge.

As the halftime buzzer sounded, the Blue Raiders held a 36-21 lead.

In opening half, Lindsey Wilson shot 58.3 percent from the floor (14-for-24). Horne contributed a dozen points on five-of-six shooting. Sutton converted three-of-three field-goal attempts for seven points. The Blue Raiders claimed a 22-to-12 advantage in rebounding during the first half.

Conversely, Cumberland hit 7-of-24 shots from the field in the first half (29.2 percent), including a 0-for-5 mark from three-point range.

During the second half, Lindsey Wilson went ahead by as many as 27 points to remove much doubt about the final outcome. The closest the Bulldogs came in the second period was after Josh Wilkerson scored the first two points of the second half to make it a 13-point deficit at 36-23.

From that point forward, the Blue Raiders rode the hot hand of Hall to create a sizable gap.

On an inbounds play, Hall caught teammate Reco Lewis' pass in the far corner and hit a three-point jumper to make it a 51-31 game. In all, Hall completed this spurt of eight-straight points with a drive to the hoop and later took a pass from Keshaun Mayfield yet again in the corner for a three-point field goal and a 56-37 advantage.

Further on down the line, Sutton was trapped under the basket, but managed to swing a pass to Hall in the far corner for another three-point basket and a 63-41 lead. Hall later grabbed an inbounds pass from Sutton near the Lindsey Wilson bench and converted a three-point shot to make it 68-41 in favor of the Blue Raiders with 6:23 to play.

To close out his 17-point second-half scoring performance, Hall took a pass from DJ Lambert near the top of the arc and converted his fifth and final three-point shot to give Lindsey Wilson a commanding 71-44 advantage with 5:33 remaining.

With that successful three-point shot, Hall set a new season high for points scored as he surpassed his previous season best of 18 points against Life (Ga.) on Nov. 13, 2014.

For the night, the Blue Raiders converted 57.1 percent of their shots (28-of-49) and 7-of-14 three-point field goals (50.0 percent). Lindsey Wilson finished with a 37-to-24 rebounding edge.

Cumberland improved its shooting to the tune of 51.9 percent in the final half (14-for-27).

In addition to Hall's game-high 20 points, Horne ended the night with 12 points, three rebounds and three assists for the Blue Raiders. Sutton contributed nine points, six rebounds and a pair of assists, and Bryan Wallace added eight points, five rebounds and two assists.

DeMario Frazier had 15 points and five rebounds for the Bulldogs. Wilkerson finished with a dozen points, and Moritz Dern had nine points and five rebounds.

Lindsey Wilson returns to play next week when it hosts No. 24-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) on Thursday night at 8 p.m. CT.
