BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The top-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer advanced to the Mid-South Conference Championship game with a 3-0 win over Cumberland (Tenn.) on Friday night.

Yvonne Ploeg scored twice for the Blue Raiders (15-1-2) as she led Lindsey Wilson to the win over Cumberland (9-9-0).

Ploeg got the scoring started in the tenth minute after Lyana Perez fed Ploeg the ball inside the 18-yard box as she was able to beat the Bulldog goalkeeper.

In the 18th minute, Amanda Kander increased the Lindsey Wilson lead after a set piece from a Cumberland foul. Emma Skaremo played the ball into the box, where Kander corralled a ball that hit off a Bulldog defender and slid it into the net.

The Blue Raiders took a 2-0 lead into halftime after they outshot Cumberland 8-2 in the half.

Ploeg gave Lindsey Wilson another insurance goal in the 73rd minute as Fabienne Rochaix carried the ball down the field and slid it to Ploeg, who finished into the net, increasing the Blue Raider lead to 3-0.
