PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- Aleksi Pahkasalo recorded a hat trick to help the No. 19-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer to a 5-0 win over host Pikeville (Ky.) today at Bob Amos Complex.

With the win, the Blue Raiders match their longest winning streak of the season with a third-straight victory. Lindsey Wilson improves 9-4-1 overall and 5-0-1 in the Mid-South Conference.

Pahkasalo scored in the 15th, 17th and 30th minutes to give the Blue Raiders the 3-0 lead. The goals raise Pahkasalo's season total to a conference-high 18 goals.

Lindsey Wilson secured a fourth goal in the opening half with a Pikeville own goal.

Lawson Crider scored the lone second-half goal in the 55th minute off Moustapha Fofana's second assist of the game.

Lindsey Wilson ended the match out-shooting the Bears (4-11, 1-6 in the MSC) 29-2, including putting 19 shots on frame.

Alvaro Cortazar recorded his seventh shutout of the season, ending the match with two saves. The Blue Raiders have not allowed a goal in their last three matches.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 29, as the Blue Raiders host Shawnee State (Ohio) at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
