Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The 23rd-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team opened their Mid-South Conference slate with a 10-0 victory over Life (Ga.) Tuesday night at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
The Blue Raiders (3-2, 1-0 MSC) scored the most goals in a match since winning 14-0 over Pikeville (Ky.) on Sept. 22, 2015.
Lindsey Wilson carried a 2-0 advantage into halftime on the strength of goals by Mutaya Mwape and Andrew Revanales.
Lawson Crider scored two goals in the span of 50 seconds to open the second half – Tuesday's match was Crider's first for Lindsey Wilson.
Brian Richards scored in the 60th and 70th minutes to push the lead to 6-0. Richards finished the match with a team-high six points – two goals and two assists.
Also scoring for the Blue Raiders were Moustapha Fofana and Storm Lilly.
Alvaro Cortazar made one save to earn his second career Lindsey Wilson shutout.
The Blue Raiders amassed 43 shots, putting 18 on target.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action Sunday with a 6 p.m. CT match against Martin Methodist (Tenn.) in Pulaski, Tenn.
