Box Score

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Six second-half goals propelled the No. 6-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team to a 7-0 win over visiting Life (Ga.) on Friday night at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

The Blue Raiders (4-3) were dominant over the first-year Running Eagles in each team's Mid-South Conference opener. Lindsey Wilson posted a 33-0 shots advantage, including 20-0 in shots on goal during the match.

A trio of Blue Raiders scored twice in the match to help Lindsey Wilson win its second straight match.

Annika Koemm recorded the lone first-half goal in the 15th minute and later added her team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 58th minute.

Koemm's first goal was the lone bright spot in a frustrating open 45 minutes. Life goalkeeper Desiree Kuhn turned away nine Blue Raider shots in the opening half. She finished the match with 13 saves.

Lyana Perez broke the frustration in the 50th minute with her first of two goals on the night. She added a second goal in the 59th minute to give the Blue Raiders a 4-0 lead.

Emelie Liljered got into the scoring act with back-to-back goals over a six-minute span. She notched her first goal of the evening in the 63rd minute and scored again in the 69th minute for a 6-0 lead.

Shelby Austin scored the final goal of the night in the 75th minute for the 7-0 lead and eventual win.

Johanna Henriksson and Jovana Ivanovic minded the Lindsey Wilson goal without facing a shot.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 7 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Sept. 27 as the Blue Raiders host Campbellsville (Ky.) at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
