Box Score LIMA, Ohio – The second-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team fell on the road to Northwestern Ohio 2-0 at Racer Stadium Saturday.
The Blue Raiders have now lost two in a row, dropping their record to 2-2.
The Racers (5-0) got things started on a goal from Laura Blanchard on a free kick in the 12th minute. They outshot the Blue Raiders 17-8 in the game.
Lindsey Wilson had some chances early in the first half to tie the game. Annika Koemm had two chances that were both stopped by the Racer goalie. Shelby Austin had an opportunity in the 32nd minute but her shot hit the crossbar. Koemm led the Blue Raiders in shots with five.
Northwestern Ohio built on the lead in the 69th minute with a goal by Camilla Andersen that went over the Lindsey Wilson goalkeeper.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on September 10th when they travel to top-ranked Spring Arbor (Mich.). It will be Lindsey Wilson's third straight game against a top-five team.
