COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team defeated Johnson (Tenn.) 91-38 at Biggers Sports Center on Friday afternoon – the program-best 14th consecutive victory for the Blue Raiders (14-0).

Lindsey Wilson eclipses the previous record of 13-straight wins that it previously shared with both the 1990-91 and 1992-93 teams.

In addition, the Blue Raiders are now off to their best start ever after surpassing the 1990-91 team's 13-0 record to open the season.

Kayla Styles recorded game highs in points and rebounds with 16 and 12, respectively, for her sixth double-double of the year. The junior from Louisville, Kentucky went into half time with just four points and three rebounds before erupting for 12 points and nine boards in the third quarter.

Joining Styles in double-figures for the Blue Raiders were Malerie Martin (13), J'Nayah Hall (10) and Billie Hearn (10).

Jynea Harris recorded a game-high and career-high five assists on Friday.

Brianna Miniard led Johnson with eight points.

The Blue Raiders took a 23-4 lead after the first quarter behind eight early points from Hall. Lindsey Wilson connected on 55.6 percent of its shots in the first 10 minutes and held the Royals (8-9) to a 13.3 shooting clip from the floor.

For the game, the Blue Raiders out-shot Johnson 51.3 to 26.4 percent.

The Royals punched back with a 16-point effort in the second quarter, but Lindsey Wilson built its largest first-half advantage at 41-13 with 2:30 left in the second quarter on one of Martin's three first-half field goals.

Lindsey Wilson continued to build its advantage in the third quarter, taking a 72-30 lead into the final quarter of play.

Hearn moved up the all-time career block leaderboard with her second rejection of the game in the fourth quarter. The rejection was Hearn's 97th as a Blue Raider, which puts her into a tie with Ashley Rainey (2010-13) for the most blocks in program history.

Lindsey Wilson shot 6-of-15 from deep in the final 20 minutes of action on Friday and 10-of-28 overall. Martin and Heidi Huffman led the Blue Raiders from deep with a trio of three pointers apiece.

Johnson committed 21 turnovers in the game, which led to 26 Lindsey Wilson points. The Blue Raiders turned the ball over a season-low seven times while assisting on 27 baskets.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Monday, when they travel to Cumberland (Tenn.) for a 6 p.m. CT Mid-South Conference clash.
