COLUMBIA, Ky. -- No. 23 Lindsey Wilson women's soccer outshot visiting Cumberlands (Ky.) but failed to score in a 2-0 loss on Friday night at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

The Blue Raiders (6-5-3, 4-2 in the Mid-South Conference) recorded 15 shots in the match, but could only put three on target against the Patriots. Cumberlands' goalkeeper Christie Funk stop all three shots she faced to record the shutout.

Cumberlands Sara Randez found the back of the net twice -- one in each half -- to help the Patriots (7-5-3, 3-2) beat the Blue Raiders for the first time since the 1999 season. The win is just the third for Cumberlands in 32 all-time meetings with Lindsey Wilson.

Randez scored in the 42nd minute to give the Patriots a 1-0 lead at the half. She added an insurance goal in the 59th minute for the 2-0 win.

Lindsey Wilson finished the game out-shooting Cumberlands 15-4, but the Patriots ended as the more efficient team putting three of their four shots on goal, including the two goals.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 5 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Oct. 25, as the Blue Raiders travel to Campbellsville (Ky.) for their regular-season finale.
