COLUMBIA, Ky. – Rasmus Broholt Lind finished as the tournament runner-up following the final round of play on Tuesday at the Coastal Georgia Invite held at Sea Island Golf Club Retreat Course.
The sophomore from Oddor, Denmark concluded the tournament with a three-day total 212 (69-71-72) to finish at 4-under par for the event, two strokes behind tournament champion Lauri Hacklin of Coastal Georgia. It is Lind's second top-five finish of the fall season after he collected a fourth-place finish at the Blue Raider Kickoff event to open the year.
Callum Blinkhorn added a top-10 finish as he tied for seventh at the tournament. After sitting at even-par coming into the day, a 5-over performance dropped him three spots in the final standings as he carded a 221 (73-71-77).
As a team, Lindsey Wilson finished the tournament in eighth place after a three-round total of 929 (307-305-317). The Blue Raiders suffered their worst round of the tournament on Tuesday, finishing 29-over par as a team in the 12-team event.
Jeremiah Hayes concluded the tournament in a tie for 37th place after a 240 (77-82-81) in the field of 68. Colby White took 59th place with a 259 (91-81-87) while Steven McGowan placed 60th with a 263 (88-82-93).
No. 5-ranked Coastal Georgia won the tournament with a 7-over par 871 (289-287-295). No. 9 USC-Beaufort (S.C.) finished second at 881 (289-293-299), while Faulkner (Ala.) took third at 903 (310-292-301).
This concludes the 2017 fall campaign for the men's program as Lindsey Wilson returns to action in early spring. The Blue Raiders' spring schedule will be released later this fall.
