MARTIN, Tenn. -- Lindsey Wilson stepped out of regular-season play on Monday to face NCAA Division I Tennessee at Martin in an exhibition game at the Elam Center.
The Blue Raiders (2-0) struggled to protect the ball in a 97-42 loss to the Skyhawks. The game is the third in four days for Lindsey Wilson, who won twice over the weekend at the First Bank Richmond Classic hosted by Indiana-East.
Lindsey Wilson committed 36 turnovers which resulted in 40 Tennessee-Martin points in the setback. The Blue Raiders also shot just 34.1 percent (15-of-44) from the field.
Dakota Smith led the Blue Raiders with nine points off the Lindsey Wilson bench. The Lindsey Wilson reserves tallied 27 points in the contest.
Kendall Spray scored a game-high 27 points for the Skyhawks. Chelsey Perry added 16 points and Zaire Hicks chipped in 15.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 6 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Nov. 7, as the Blue Raiders host Brescia (Ky.) at Biggers Sports Center.
